USC has lacked production from the tight ends for quite some time. Today two tight ends have scored touchdowns for USC. The first was Imatorbhebhe the second was Tyler Petite and it came as a result of some Sam Darnold Magic.
The play started off on the Colorado 11 yard line. Sam Darnold was leading another great drive down the field with Justin Davis putting on a show. Darnold took the snap attempted to hand it off to Justin Davis but it was not a clean hand off and the ball was loose. Darnold collected the ball but the Colorado defenders were almost on top of the ball as soon as he had it.
Darnold was left to scramble backwards all the way to the 35 (from the 11) he was able to reverse field and throw it on the run where he found Tyler Petite open at the original line of scrimmage. Darnold connected and Petite found his way into the end zone giving the USC Trojans a 14-0 lead.
Sam Darnold is on FIRE
