On the first offensive play from the line of scrimmage USC gave the ball to Ronald Jones and he did not disappoint busting out a huge run for 61 yards down to Cal’s 27. Rojo followed it up with another run for 5 yards and Darnold hit a couple of passes to Rodgers and Juju Smith-Schuster. After a pair of runs from Aca’cedric Ware Rogers finished the drive off with a touchdown.

The Cal offense did not accomplish much on their next possession and the Trojans went right back to work with Ronald Jones marching right down the field. Jones finished off the drive with a screen pass for a touchdown. At this point in the game Jones has 96 yards rushing and 16 yards receiving with 4:34 left in the first quarter.
