USC Trojans backup linebacker and special teams player Jabari Ruffin has been suspended indefinitely according to Clay Helton. Helton announced on Sunday that Ruffin was suspended for a “student conduct issue” and is not sure when Ruffin will return.
“I don’t have a crystal ball on when or if he could return”
Ruffin was suspended for one half of a game and forced to write a letter of apology after stomping on the groin of an Alabama player in the first week of the season. Ruffin was also ejected from the Alabama game because of the groin stomp.
As a backup to Uchenna Nwosu at outside linebacker Ruffin saw action in six games this season but only had 2 tackles. No further details were shared about the suspension but Ruffin is a redshirt senior so it is possible that his USC football might be over.
