On the site today, lots of updates on the developing USC coaching staff. Nick Barbarino followed up on some long-held rumors, reporting that ex-defensive coordinator for the Trojans Clancy Pendergast is set to return to USC and resume his old role on the staff. Another ex-Trojan's coach will be returning to their old role.

John Baxter will reprise his role at USC as Special Teams Coach, after coming off a successful year assisting Jim Harbaugh at Michigan. Also on the site, Trajuan Briggs breaks down the latest coaching hires in the latest edition of his weekly podcast, focusing on the recent hires as a sign of progress.

The men's basketball team has also had an active week. They beat ASU 75-65 at home last night, and are set to play the Arizona Wildcats tomorrow. LA Daily News has more on last night's game, pointing out that the win keeps the Trojan's as undefeated at home so far this season. The team will still have their work cut out for them on Saturday, however - with Reign of Troy pointing out that the Arizona Wildcats will be looking to redeem themselves from a last-second loss to UCLA.
