Sports Illustrated reports that ex-USC head football coach Steve Sarkisian is looking to return to coaching, specifically at the NFL level. Sarkisian is said to have expressed interest in returning to the sport as either a quarterbacks coach or offensive coordinator.
ESPN writes that this would not be Sarkisian's first experience with the NFL in a coaching capacity. Sarkisian consulted with the Raiders in 2004 to help the team and QB Rich Gannon improve 27th in passing yardage to 8th. CBS Sports quoted ESPN's Adam Schefter saying Sarkisian was "putting out feelers" directly to NFL teams, so time will tell if any programs are willing to take him up on his offer.
Meanwhile, the men;s basketball team will face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils tonight, in what is sure to be a challenging match. Every game counts for USC at this point, with Reign of Troy reporting that latest bracketology from ESPN puts the Trojans in at least the first round for this year's NCAA Tournament.
