Trojans beat Washington State 81-71 at home, ending their brief losing streak of the past two games.
Lots of news concerning the USC football team though, old and new. USC alum Owen Hanson was one of 22 people indicted yesterday for involvement in an international gambling and drug ring, according to the LA Times. Hanson, who was a walk-on tight end for the Trojans, also has a previous indictment for allegedly arranging the delivery of 5 kg each of cocaine and methamphetamine, according to Yahoo News. USA Today writes that the new charges include international and domestic drug trafficking, money laundering, and illegal sports gambling.
In other news, the Wisconsin Badgers made it official yesterday, and announced that they'd hired ex-USC defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox to fill the same role for them, according to Fox Sports. Meanwhile, the current USC coaching staff will be spending Signing Day with their fingers crossed, with three potential USC recruits slated to announce their official decisions during the ESPNU broadcast special according to the LA Times.
