TMZ Sports is reporting that former USC tight end Bryce Dixon has been arrested for carjacking in the vicinity of the USC campus on Exposition Blvd Tuesday afternoon. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department has since confirmed the arrest according to the Orange County Register. Bond was set for $100,000 and because the investigation was ongoing, no further details were available. The crime of carjacking in the state of California can carry a penalty of 3 to 9 years in prison.
Dixon played in 12 games in his freshman season before he was expelled from the University for a sexual misconduct case. Dixon did file a lawsuit and was allowed back to school, but he was not allowed back on the team. If these reports are true it would seem unlikely that Dixon will be able to resurrect his football career at USC or anywhere else for that matter.
I never thought Bryce Dixon would play again at #USC. But there was hope he could resurrect his playing career elsewhere. Unlikely now.
