Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

USC may not be playing in the National Championship but we can all spend the evening enjoying the final college football game of the season, and the last college football game for a long time. Here are five reasons to be excited about the National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers.

We can also watch out for any shenanigans between our old pal Lane Kiffin and his boss Nick Saban, or maybe if Steve Sarkisian will digitally share his expertise at half time. Alternatively you can treat this game as a way, way too early preview of the USC Trojans' next opponent.

Game and TV info:

Monday, January 11 University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale Arizona

Time: 5:30 pm PST
Streaming: Watch ESPN

ESPN will also have a 'megacast' that will let you watch the game in 14 different ways.
