USC releases depth chart as we get closer to the season opener

Not a lot of surprises in the depth chart released by Sarkisian moments ago.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It's officially game week. USC just released their depth chart for the Arkansas State game. Here it is.

Nice to see Darreus Rogers listed as a starting wide receiver. Rogers had a great fall camp.

Some other notes:

  • Taylor McNamara, Connor Spears, and Tyler Petite listed as co-starters at tight end.
  • Cameron Smith listed as the backup middle linebacker. I expect to see a lot of him this season.
  • Chris Hawkins given the starting strong safety nod over John Plattenburg. Also, Marvell Tell III listed ahead of Ykili Ross at free safety.

USC and Arkansas State face off at the Coli on Saturday at 8:00 P.T.
