After placing both the Men and Women's teams in the top five at the NCAA Championships earlier this month,USC Track and Field had several current and former athletes participating in the USA Track and Field Championships and USATF Junior Championships this past weekend at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. 13 Trojans combined to make the junior and senior USA teams for the upcoming world championships.
In the senior (professional) meet, Allyson Felix won the Women's 400M Dash, Conor McCullough was second in the Men's Hammer competition, Jesse Williams was third in the Men's High Jump, and Bryshon Nellum was fourth in the Men's 400M race. BeeJay Lee made the team as an alternate for the relay teams as was fourth in the 200M race and sixth in the 100.
On the junior side, Randall Cunningham (high jump),Kendall Ellis (Women's 400M), Dior Hall (Women's 100HH), and Deanna Hill (Women's 200M) all won their events while Robert Ford (Men's 800M), Marquis Morris (Men's 110HH), and Ky Westbrook (Women's 200M) all finished second in their races.
The 2015 Pam Am Junior Championships are in Edmonton, Canada from July 31 to August 2nd while he IAAF World Championships will be held in Beijing, China from August 22-30.
