2015 USC Football: Linebacker Uchenna Nwosu Returns

With Summer Session beginning, the Trojans gets back a young face that can help the defense.

After a semester, USC linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is participating in class and workouts. The soon-to-be sophomore was seen this Monday working out with the team and is enrolled in summer school after missing the Holiday Bowl and spring ball.

Nwosu was sent home from the Holiday Bowl back in December with the intentions of bringing the true freshman back. Uchenna spent this spring at a local junior college, attending class and patiently waiting to return to USC. The Harbor City native backed up Su'a Cravens last season at strong side linebacker. Nwosu finished with nine tackles and played in every regular season game.

Nwosu can possibly make his case at becoming a contributor on the Trojans' defense as fall camp will be underway August 10th. He will have some tough competition as both Olujawon Tucker and Quinton Powell had strong spring camps, forcing Uchenna to play catch up.

Good luck to Uchenna and our Men of Troy as they work hard in the classroom and on the field this summer. Fight On!
