In spite of missing part of his senior season due to a knee injury, Tavai was signed by the Tennessee Titans on Saturday as an undrafted free agent shortly following the conclusion of the 2015 NFL draft.
Tavai, an OLB with 53 tackles and 13.5 for losses in his last college season, will join fellow USC alum and defensive tackle Jurrell Casey on his new team.
Though Tavai started his career at USC splitting his time between defensive end and defensive tackle, he managed to carve out an important role for himself on the team, starting 9 out of 11 games this past season.
Tavai had a strong showing at USC's Pro Day this past March, which was said to have majorly improved his stock as an eligible draftee.
An aggressive, hard-working finisher, Tavai should prove to be an energizing force on his new team.
