USC over the years has a great history of talented defensive lineman come through the program. From Fili Moala, Everson Griffen, Christian Tupou, to 2015 first round pick Leonard Williams, the Trojans have produced NFL-ready lineman. With Williams getting drafted the Trojans now have big shoes to fill on the defensive lineman over the upcoming years. Unfortunately Jordan Elliott will not be able to contribute.
Houston Westside defensive tackle Jordan Elliott announced over Twitter he will be staying in his hometown, committing to the University of Houston. The 4-star recruit committed four days ago after announcing that he was high on both Texas and USC. Elliott, formerly committed to Baylor, has joined fellow Houston product 5-star defensive tackle Ed Oliver.

Elliott is the No. 84 recruit, No. 12 defensive tackle, and No. 12 player in Texas according to 247Sports. Elliott has 36 offers including Alabama, LSU, Oregon, TCU, and Notre Dame. The 6'4 305 tackling machine caused havoc as a junior, tallying 78 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks.
USC currently has eight big time commitments in their 2016 class. However, the Trojans are still looking to find a solid verbal commitment to secure from a defensive lineman.
