USC Baseball will NOT host a regional in the NCAA Tournament

After struggling down the stretch, the Trojans will travel to open the NCAA Tournament.

Entering Sunday's game, USC Baseball had gone 6-8 in their last 14 games and fallen to fourth in the Pac-12 Standings. Moments ago, the NCAA Regional Hosts were announced and USC was not chosen as a host cite.

The consensus around college baseball is that UC Santa Barbara was chosen over the Trojans. UCSB will host their regional in Lake Elsinore (Ca.), where the Class-A Affiliate of the San Diego Padres host their games.

The other West Regional host cites are Cal State Fullerton and UCLA.

USC split the season series with Cal State Fullerton in 2015 and lost both games to UCSB. There is a very slim chance that USC will be selected to UCLA's bracket.
