To start things off for the men of Troy, The Trojans took two titles on Saturday in the heavilyy anticipated field events. The Trojans' Conor McCullough won the Men's Hammer title with a 72.20m/236-10 to give USC its third consecutive hammer title and fifth in six years. McCullough executed the competition with Oregon's Greg Skipper in second with a throw of 68.64m/225-02 and UCLA's Alec Faldermeyer's throw of 63.75m/209-02 in third.
Adoree Jackson the freshman sensation took off the cleats and put on the spikes, leaping his way to the PAC-12 long jump title. Jackson jumped 25-3.50/7.71m to seal the victory, beating Oregon's Nate Moore.
The following day our USC men sprinters dominated the track taking home the 4x100, 100m, 200m, and the 110m hurdles. The USC 4x100 demanded the PAC-12's attention from the moment BeeJay Lee exploded out of the blocks, running a 39.17 to capture the relay title.
Andre De Grasse recorded the fastest time ran at the meet at 9.97 shattering Ato Boldon's Pac-12 record 10.03 in the 100 meters. De Grasse is currently the top ranked sprinter in the country. Senior Beejay Lee, the 2013 PAC-12 champion took second recording a 10.16.
The men of Troy decided to run the PAC in the 200m, taking 1st-3rd and bringing home the title. De Grasse won the event, flying through the finish line at 20.05, only .05 off of the meet record. Lee followed in second running a 20.46 and Just'N Thymes ran a 20.75 to take third. Freshman Marquis Morris of USC ran a 13.95, barely beating University of Oregon's Senior Tevor Ferguson (13.97) for the 110m Hurdles title.
The Women of Troy made a statement as well dominating most of the sprints.
To start the meet off with a big win the Lady Trojans smoked the track breaking the 4x100 meet record with a blazing 43.10 shattering last year's record by .11.
The wins for the Lady Trojans continued to pile up, taking home five more events. Vanessa Jones flew by the competition to take the 400m Pac-12 Title with a 51.50. USC scored a record 44 points in the 200m as they placed 1st-3rd and 5th-8th.
Tynia Gathier won and ran a 23.97 with Alexis Faulknor in second with a 23.08. Freshman Dior Hall (12.99) won the 100m hurdles for the Trojans with a photo finish against Oregon's Sasha Wallace (13.00).
USC's junior Jade Stepter ran an amazing 400m hurdles to take first and the title with a 55.85. Sophomore Amalie Iuel took second for the Lady Trojans running a 56.06. Lastly our Lady Trojans brought home the 4x400 title running an impressive 3:32.12 with no competition to be found.
