Spring Practice just ended and LB/S Su'a Cravens has already been named to a preseason award watch list as he was named one of the 42 players on the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List Friday afternoon.
Cravens had an excellent 2014 season as he was fifth on the team in tackles (68) and led the team with three interceptions. His 17.0 tackles for a loss were most by a defensive back in college football in 2014 and most by a non-defensive lineman in USC history since linebacker Markus Steele's 17 in 2000. Cravens was also a First-team All-Pac-12 Selection and AP Third-team All-American.
Cravens began the season at safety last year and then moved over to a hybrid-linebacker position midway through the season. USC Head Coach Steve Sarkisian had a bold statement regarding Cravens after practice last Thursday.
The Lott IMPACT Award is named after former USC great Ronnie Lott. We can expect Cravens to be named to more award watch lists in the coming months.
