Former USC safety Taylor Mays signed with the Minnesota Vikings this afternoon according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.
Mays previously spent four seasons with the Bengals after being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft. In his five seasons in the NFL, Mays has 98 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. Mays had a great career at USC from 2006-2009: He was named the Pac-10's Co-Freshman of the Year in 2006 and was a first-team All American in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Once the deal becomes official, Mays will be the fourth USC Trojan on the Vikings, joining tight end Rhett Ellison, defensive end Everson Griffen, and tackle Matt Kalil.
