Do you love USC Sports? Do you want to learn more about digital publishing and sports journalism? Do you want to work for one of the most exciting sports media companies out there? If so, we have a great news, Conquest Chronicles wants you.
We're looking for both additional contributors, as well as a new blog manager, to help build and grow the site (previous site management will be leaving due to other sportswriting commitments). Here's what we're looking for:
- Folks who are passionate about USC athletics
- Writers who understand social media (Twitter and Facebook), and know where to find story ideas
- Individuals comfortable working in a remote enviroment
- The ability to write while requiring minimal editing
Previous writing experience is great, but not required.
Our site manager, in addition to writing regularly, will also need to able to
- Copyedit and schedule other writers
- Help recruit new contributors
- Manage the site social media accounts
- Be creative in finding ways to help grow the site
The site manager position is a 6-8 hour a week commitment, and will be paid a small stipend each month. Writing is less of a time commitment, and may be eligible for a stipend as well.
