We are expanding! . . . Now onto the links.

In recruiting news, four star recruit Jack Jones from Long Beach Poly has named USC in his list of top 5 schools. Nick Barbarino has more on the story, highlighting what an amazing athlete Jones is, ranked 15th in California and 9th best nationally at his position.

The video announcement was originally released through Bleacher Report, following in the footsteps of current Trojan Iman Marshall. All of this recruitment has been done shorthanded, as the LA Times reminds us that this year's contact period has been navigated without the help of several assistant coaches, following the mass firings overseen by newly full-time head coach Clay Helton.

The LA Times also writes about the Trojans taking steps toward the future, as they tried out virtual reality technology during practice yesterday that may be incorporated more consistently in the future. In other news, ex-defensive line coach Chris Wilson has been added to the Mizzou coaching staff, Fox Sports reports.

Also of note, USC senior volleyball star Samantha Bricio was named Volleyball Magazine Player of the Year. She can add this to her long list of other impressive accolades, including Pac-12 Player of the Year, espnW National Player of the Year, and AVCA National Player of the Year.
