On the site today, Trajuan Briggs writes about the USA Today freshman All-American team, which just announced its roster yesterday. Honors this year go to two Trojan freshman, linebacker Cameron Smith and cornerback Iman Marshal.

Latest updates to the Sarkisian controversy include a new The Audible podcast episode by Fox Sports, which predicts that the ex-head coach could have a strong case to win a hefty settlement from USC. ESPN believes that the Trojan's return to the Holiday Bowl suits USC just fine, writing that the potential for an interesting Pac-12 vs. Big Ten match up had the San Diego Bowl Game Association going against it's own tradition of not inviting the same team back two years ago.

Meanwhile Reign of Troy's Max Meyer comes down hard on AD Pat Haden, writing that perhaps it is time for the long-standing USC administrator to step down. To round out the day, LA Sports Hub also has a retrospective up of the Trojan's performance this past regular season.
