It's impressive that the USC Men's Basketball team is ranked in the top 15 in the nation in scoring at 92.5 points per game. However, the Trojans have yet to face a team that will be in the NCAA Tournament. USC will have their first real test of the season today as they take part in the Advocare Invitational in Florida and face off against the Wichita State Shockers. Wichita State is coming off of their third straight 30-win season and advanced to the Sweet 16 before falling to Notre Dame.

The Shockers have one of the best guards in the nation in 6'4" senior Ron Baker. Baker is averaging 20.3 points through three games this season and will be the main focal point of the Shockers offense. The Shockers will be without Fred VanVleet (hamstring). VanVleet was second on the team with 13.6 points per game last year and led the team with 5.2 assists per game. Wichita State has already suffered an upset this season, falling to Tulsa last Tuesday. If the Trojans can come away with a victory, this could really help their resumé (if they continue to play well) come March. The winner of the Wichita State/USC game will face the winner of Alabama/Xavier.
