We are expanding! . . . Now onto the links.

On the site today, Andrew Green writes about interim coach Clay Helton's chances of staying past the end of the season. Helton also had some kind words for Steve Sarkisian, who told Dan Patrick on his radio show on Wednesday that he considered Sarkisian a friend, and knew he would "be back one day".

In the meantime, attention shifts to the away game this Saturday against Cal. Freshman linebacker and recent star Cameron Smith is originally from the area and will have the chance to be watched by local family and friends this weekend, but is nonetheless hoping for continued success for USC this season, according to the LA Times.

Regardless, it should still be an interesting, engaging match up. Trojan DL coach Chris Wilson called Cal's Jared Goff the "best QB in college football," so definitely a performance to keep an eye on this Saturday. The Cal game will also be an important one for Coach Helton, who Bleacher Report says has the chance to win his way to job security at USC.
