And the Trojans win!

As contributor Julian Lopez writes for the site, quite a lot of this success has to do with freshman linebacker Cameron Smith, who led the team with nine tackles and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown in this past Saturday's game.

Other notable performances for the night include quarterback Cody Kessler, who according to the LA Times got the ball in the right hands on offense. Also notable was WR JuJu Smith-Schuster's improvised strong-arm over trash-talking Utah cornerback Dominique Hatfield, according to ESPN.

Interim head coach Clay Helton also did a great job holding down the fort with the Trojan's first win since he took up the position. Bleacher Report sites USC's recent performance as proof of how successful the Trojan's can be given a good coach, a sentiment also echoed by USA Today.

And in the face of the previously undefeated Utes loss to the Trojans, the Washington Post wonders if any Pac-12 team will be able to make the playoffs. In the meantime, relive this past Saturday's glory by watching the USC Athletics game highlights below.
