USC C Max Tuerk (knee) is out for the season. DE Claude Pelon (knee) is doubtful for ND, while WR Steven Mitchell (ankle) is questionable.

Steve Sarkisian takes a leave of absence, a top recruit has de-commited from the program and now USC has announced that star Center Max Tuerk is done for the year. Tuerk was injured in the game against the Washington Huskies and now it appears USC will have to get along without him. USC had problems in pass protection all season long with Kessler taking way too many sacks. The offensive line has certainly had their struggles but now they will have to find a way to make things happen without their best player. Also concerning is that after the Tuerk injury on Thursday night Kessler dealt with several very low slaps throughout the evening.
USC has also struggled on the defensive line, and news that defensive end Claude Pelon is doubtful for Notre Dame is difficult to read. USC has struggled to stop the run for most of the season and the Irish have a dynamite rushing attack lead by C.J. Prosise.
Wide Receiver Steven Mitchell is also questionable for Notre Dame as he is dealing with an ankle injury.
The Trojans will play the Irish Saturday in South Bend at 4:30pm (pt) on NBC.
