Two alumni groups from USC's School of Cinematic Arts are finalists in Doritos' "Crash the Super Bowl" contest, which has been pared down to 10 finalists for a premiere spot on Super Bowl XLIX this weekend.
The first commercial, Middle Seat, which was crafted by USC graduates Scott Zabielski, Genevieve Younce Zabielski, Chris McKinley, Andrew Huebscher, Jason Cochard, and Shelley LaRue (a former USC Song Girl), depicts one man's quest to keep the middle seat in his airplane aisle empty. In the other finalist, Lemonade Stand, created by Dave Horowitz, who is also known for his work on Inception and Pirates of the Caribbean (among many others) and Nick Sivakumaran shows how a littler girl can optimize profits at her lemonade stand.
The winner of the Doritos contest, chosen by an Internet vote, will have their 30-second commercial shown during the Super Bowl and earn a $1 million prize. Here are the two commercials, both of which you can vote for online.
