Rahshead Johnson Will Reportedly Transfer

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

True freshman wide receiver/cornerback Rahshead Johnson plans on transferring from the University of Southern California, Adam Maya of TrojanSports.com reported on Tuesday. Johnson did not play in a game last season as the four-star recruit redshirted his freshman campaign.

The Compton, California native began fall practice as a two-way player hoping to crack into the lineup, much like the way John Plattenburg, Adoree' Jackson and JuJu Smith were thrust into the lineup.

Since Nelson Agholor and George Farmer will not be returning, the USC Trojans will be welcoming the talents of Isaac Whitney, Tristan Payton and De'Quan Hampton to the wide receiver rotation.

The Trojans will likely rely heavily upon these new players, along with four-star Ykili Ross, as major contributors on the offensive side of the ball for senior quarterback Cody Kessler. Freshman standout JuJu Smith leads the wide receiving class along with Ajene Harris, Steven Mitchell and Darreus Rogers.

Gerard Martinez of USCFootball.com has reported that Johnson will enroll at Santa Monica Community College.
