The USC Trojans gained two spots in the USA Today Coaches Poll after their 35-10 victory over Oregon State.

The Oregon Ducks remained at No. 4 after being idle, but Alabama jumped Florida State for the top spot after the Seminoles struggled with North Carolina State. The crosstown rivals, UCLA, only gained one spot after its trouncing of Arizona State, who tumbled 12 spots to No. 24.

The only other Pac-12 squad in the Top 25, Stanford, gained one spot to improve to No. 13, taking the spot vacated by South Carolina. The Gamecocks dropped out of the Top 25 after losing to Missouri at home.
