Steve Sarkisian Takes the Blame for the BC Loss

USC coach discusses 37-31 loss to Boston College.

As he probably should have, USC head coach Steve Sarkisian took the blame after his first loss. In his post-game press conference in the USC locker room, Sarkisian said that everything starts with him.

"They outplayed us. They beat us in all three stages. They controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. The end result was we didn't get it done...and that starts with me coaching."

While he also said that the Trojans got beat in their one-on-one matchups, Sarkisian didn't feel he set the team up to succeed.

"We didn't execute the things that we're capable of doing and again that falls sorely, directly on my shoulders. We've got to do a better job."

In the video above, Sarkisian also discusses the tremendous effort of Boston College quarterback Tyler Murphy and the Eagles' ability to have success rushing on the perimeter. He also talks about how USC will have to bounce back during the bye week before getting back to conference play where the Trojans' Pac-12 goals still are attainable.
