USC athletic director Pat Haden was noticeably absent from USC's Salute to Troy football kickoff event on Saturday evening. That's because he has been in the hospital twice in the last two days, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.
Haden had been hospitalized twice in the last two days because he was not feeling well, a person with knowledge of the situation said.
Pat Haden was recently seen in good health on the sidelines at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum when USC hosted its second scrimmage there on Monday.
Besides being the USC athletic director, the 61-year-old Haden also has a role as a member of the new selection committee that will be in charge of selecting the final four teams to compete in the College Football Playoff.
UPDATE:
USC AD Pat Haden reports that he is feeling fine and thanks everyone for their well wishes. He expects to check out of the hospital today.
