Making his announcement live on KDFW, a local news station in Dallas, three-star running back Aca'Cedric Ware held his own collegiate hat display spurning Ohio State, Notre Dame and Iowa for Cardinal and Gold.
The talented running back comes as the first tailback recruit since landing then Justin Davis back in 2012. Interesting to note that as of Sunday evening, Ware was almost 50-50 between Iowa and USC but then conversations with assistant running backs coach Luis Nevarez swung the tally towards verbally committing to Southern California.
The Trojans get a talented, battled-tested three star running back that is the 42nd running back overall and the 72nd ranked player in Texas according to the 247Sports Composite. Ware heads into the Fall following an impressive junior season leading his squad to a victory over powerhouse Katy in the Texas 5A-II State Championship.
I've verbally commited to USC #fighton #trojans

Aca'Cedric Ware becomes the first Trojan running back out of the state of Texas since Emmaunel Moody, who eventually transferred to the University of Florida for more playing time. The Trojans would love to garner more prospects in the Texas hotbed to go alongside the South East region that coach Tee Martin can poach great players from as well.
He also told Scot Schrader of 247Sports that he intends to study mechanical engineering at Viterbi, which would make his recruitment not only valuable on the field but hopefully beneficial to Pat Haden's emphasis on true student-athletes.
The Trojans 2015 recruiting class, which moved to 11th overall according to Rivals.com, now stands 13 players strong following Ware's commitment. USC's now passed the half-way point on the long road back to 25 scholarship players yet the freedom to offer so many elite players, both locally and nationwide, never felt so good.
