Defending National Champion women's water polo (22-2) has embraced the underdog role this season, and are expecting their best performance during this weekend's MPSF Tournament from the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
The Women of Troy rolled through the competition at the 2013 MPSF Tournament capturing the program's third MPSF Tournament title. As the No. 3 overall MPSF seed, USC will face Arizona State in the first round with an expected match up against UCLA on Saturday before possibly facing top-seeded Stanford in Sunday's final.
Through the 2014 regular season, USC has outscored its opponents 357-112 to lead the MPSF which leads the conference in both scoring categories. Plenty will be on the line this weekend, and the Women of Troy are prepared for what should be a defensive-minded tournament with major NCAA seeding implications up for grabs.
