Dewayne Dedmon, the former USC center who entered the NBA Draft early last season only to go undrafted, was signed for the remainder of the season by the Orlando Magic after his second 10-day contract expired at 11:59 Sunday night.
Dedmon has spent time with the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers previously this season.
After playing big bench minutes with the 76ers, as many as 19 minutes in his final game, Dedmon has played only six minutes in three games since joining the Magic.
He is 3-for-4 from the floor with three rebounds in his six minutes.
The most interesting detail comes from Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears:
Rookie center Dewayne Dedmon's new contract with the Magic also includes team options for the next two seasons, a source said.
