USC Back in the AP Poll Top 25

Trojans slide back into the rankings at No. 24.

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

The USC Trojans are back in the AP Top 25 Poll, sitting at No. 24. After dominating Notre Dame last weekend, USC practiced Saturday and watched the final week of the regular season along with the championship games being played in some conferences as well.

The Trojans jumped into the top 25 thanks to Oklahoma's overtime loss to rival Oklahoma State in the Bedlam game. No other ranked team fell out of the top 25 and USC's impressive victory last weekend proved to be enough to jump over Nebraska, who just fired Bo Pellini despite a solid 9-3 season.

With USC back in the rankings, there are now six teams from the Pac-12 placed in the AP Poll Top 25Oregon leads the way, still sitting at No. 3, after dominating the Arizona Wildcats to avenge their only loss of the season. With the loss Arizona slid from No. 7 to No. 12 and the Wildcats' chances of getting a bid to one of the New Year's Day bowls.

The other Pac-12 teams ranked are UCLA at No. 14, Arizona State at No. 15 and the Utah Utes at No. 23.
