The USC Trojans have arrived, both in a physical sense and in the spiritual sense. Following a short practice at San Diego State, the Trojans packed their bags for the San Diego Zoo before taking a trip to Sea World on Christmas Day. In the meantime, USC wants to focus on all the fundamentals, especially in the special teams department.
USC is facing one of the best punt return units in the nation led by De'Mornay Pierson-El, who ranks inside the top-10 in the nation in average yards per punt return. But for now, the Trojans are getting in the Holiday spirit with light practices this week before taking the field for the final game of the season. The 2014 Holiday Bowl pits two teams that can run the football, love play-action passing and can get after the quarterback with good pass rushes. Learn about what coach Sarkisian is pressing on his players as they begin the final preparations for Saturday night's game against Nebraska.
