Don't miss a thing in college football this weekend. With the Trojans not playing, you have an opportunity to check out action across the nation all weekend.
Here's the best games to catch on Thursday, Friday and each of the main Saturday time slots:
Thursday night: No. 21 Clemson at Wake Forest
The Tigers have quietly reeled off five wins in a row since their overtime loss to Florida State. This might also be the week Clemson gets true freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson (12 touchdowns to only two interceptions) back from a hand injury. Watson played for one of my rival high schools back in Georgia, so I'll definitely be tuned in.
Friday night: Memphis at Temple
This is a big game in the American Athletic Conference race. Memphis is tied atop the conference with four other teams at 3-1 while Temple is sitting right behind at 3-2. The Owls are coming off a 20-10 victory over previously undefeated East Carolina. Memphis gave UCLA a scare early in the season, which should be enough reason to root for them.
Saturday morning: No. 12 Baylor at No. 15 Oklahoma
The Bears are searching for their first road win against a ranked team since 1991!! They have lost 37 straight. (The next oldest streak for a Power Five conference team is Colorado, who last beat a ranked team on the road in 2002.) Bryce Petty vs. Trevor Knight should be a fun matchup, but Oklahoma's defensive concerns lie in the secondary, which isn't a good thing versus the Baylor passing attack. Also keep an eye on No. 20 Georgia going on the road at Kentucky.
Saturday early-afternoon: No. 10 Arizona State at No. 9 Notre Dame
A pair of Trojan foes that each have a "win out and you're in" CFP likelihood. ASU defeated USC on a Hail Mary while Notre Dame barely escaped Stanford, but the two teams' losses are polar opposites. The Sun Devils were romped at home against UCLA while the Irish had a touchdown called back in the waning seconds of a primetime matchup at Florida State. Both defensive coordinators like to bring pressure, which will result in some big plays both ways.
Saturday late-afternoon: No. 7 Kansas State at No. 6 TCU
There are some solid "primetime" games on with a rematch of the 2011 Championship Game between Alabama and LSU and the Michigan State/Ohio State game that will likely decided the Big 10. But the Big 12 has yet to deliver this season. Whenever two of their top-tier teams have matched up, it's turned into a tremendous ballgame. TCU has a 37-33 win over Oklahoma, 61-58 loss to Baylor and 31-30 win last week at West Virginia. Kansas State won by the same margin at Oklahoma earlier this year and the Wildcats only loss came in a tightly contested game with Auburn.
Saturday evening: No. 4 Oregon at No. 17 Utah
Utah is more Stanford than Stanford this year. Guess who Oregon typically struggles against? Stanford. The Utes have a physical front seven that will have to get in the backfield consistently to try to make Oregon one-dimensional. There is pretty much nothing else happening during this time slot, so Marcus Mariota will have an opportunity to showcase his skills in front of a national audience...if the East Coasters aren't already asleep or partying too hard.
