USC Getting Votes in Polls But Still Unranked

Trojans are a top 30 club, but not in Top 25.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Thanks to the Trojans' 44-17 win at Washington State Saturday afternoon, USC received votes in both the Associated Press and Amway CoachesTop 25 Polls, but didn't crack the top 25.

In the AP Poll, USC is the 27th team with 48 points. The Trojans picked up 31 points in the Coaches Poll, leaving them four spots out of the top 25.

There are still five Pac-12 teams in the top 25 led by Oregon. The Ducks dominated Stanford, but it wasn't enough to leapfrog any of the teams that were ahead of them except for Ole Miss, who dropped out of the top 10 after its loss to Auburn. The Ducks are ranked No. 5 in the AP Poll.

Besides giving themselves the inside track to the Pac-12 South title, Arizona State's victory over Utah helped push the Sun Devils up to No. 11 in the AP Poll and No. 12 in the Coaches. The Utes, on the other hand, fell two spots in the AP Poll (No. 20) and four spots in the Coaches Poll (No. 22).

With a win over Arizona, the UCLA Bruins are back in the top 20 while the Wildcats tumbled to No. 21.
