USC freshmen wide receivers JuJu Smith and Steven Mitchell were featured in the ESPN's top college football plays of Week 8 thanks to their diving catches on Saturday against Colorado.
JuJu Smith, who finished with four catches, 104 yards and his first career touchdown, made a diving one-handed grab that made the Week 8 cut. After the game, USC head coach Steve Sarkisian revealed that Smith had been playing with a soft cast under his glove on the same hand that he made the catch with.
Steven Mitchell's first career touchdown catch came on Cody Kessler 's school record seventh TD pass. That's part of the reason, his diving 24-yard touchdown grab was featured a well.
