On Thursday morning, USC head coach Steve Sarkisian announced junior wide receiver Victor Blackwell had been removed from the USC roster earlier this week.
Maybe he wanted to get ahead of the news.
According to the Los Angeles Times' Gary Klein, Victor Blackwell was arrested Wednesday night in the University Gateway Apartments, which are directly across the street from northeast corner of USC's campus. He was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on suspicion of domestic violence after campus security responded to a call at 6:21 p.m.
Campus security interviewed a female, who claimed to be Victor Blackwell's girlfriend. Here's the report that reportedly involves Blackwell:
Victor Blackwell was booked and his bail was set at $50,000, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff Department's website. He has not been released as of this time. If you want to keep tabs, you can go to this site and either search for Victor Blackwell by name or his booking number: 4118680.
