USC quarterback Cody Kessler joined The Bakersfield Californian's "First Look with Scott Cox" on Monday to discuss the Trojans' season and the roller coaster of emotions Kessler endured this season.
Among other things, the Bakersfield native discussed having to battle for the quarterback spot at the beginning of the season, Lane Kiffin's dismissal, the Ed Orgeron experience, what the coaching carousel adventure has been like for the Trojans and the culture shock coming to USC from Bakersfield.
At around the 6-minute mark, Kessler talks about how he texted with Orgeron on Christmas and how many players on the team are still hopeful that Orgeron may return to USC, presumably as the team's defensive line coach.
