After decommitting from Alabama early Saturday morning, 2015 St. Bonaventure High School quarterback Ricky Town took an unofficial visit to USC in the afternoon and shortly committed thereafter.
Ricky Town is the No. 5 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 2 ranked pro-style quarterback and No. 2 player in California, according to 247Sports.
According to Greg Biggins, Marques Tuiasosopo was key in securing Town's commitment, and the 2015 quarterback sounded rather excited about coming to USC following his unofficial visit with the coaching staff.
"I chose USC because of the tradition, the academics and the incredible coaching staff. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of something really special." -Ricky Town said in a statement
Town decommitted from Alabama for a number of reasons, one of which may actually be tied to the situation surrounding former Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and current OC Lane Kiffin.
QB Ricky Towns decommitment from #Bama has more to do with Doug Nussmeier leaving and #USC being his childhood dream school than Lane Kiffin

The nation's No. 1 ranked quarterback in 2015 possesses an impressive 6'4" frame, a tremendous arm, and excellent wheels clocking in for an unofficial 4.6 time in the 40-yard dash.
The Southern California native has always held USC close to his heart, and will now complement Jalen Greene (2014 Early Enrollee) and Max Browne in what could be one of the deepest and most talented spots on the roster for years to come.
Here is the five-star quarterback's season highlights from his junior year.
