USC senior safety Demetrius Wright has accepted an invitation to play in the NFL Player's Association Collegiate Bowl. The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is one of a handful of showcase games for senior players. It will be held at the StubHub Center (formerly the Home Depot Center) in Carson, Calif. this Saturday at 3 p.m. PT.

Wright was a four-star recruit coming out of Corona (CA) High, but he got buried on the depth chart, having to wait behind eventual NFL safeties Taylor Mays, T.J. McDonald and Jawanza Starling.
The 6'1", 195-pounder collected 28 tackles his first three seasons -- most coming on special teams.
It wasn't until Josh Shaw was moved from safety to cornerback midway through this season that Wright received extensive playing time. He made the most of his opportunity, using his long, athletic build to record 59 tackles (35 solo, 2.5 for loss) and three pass deflections.
Wright will be joined by eight other Pac-12 players, including two UCLA Bruins (Seali’i Epenesa & Keenan Graham). He will receive instruction from American head coach Dennis Green and defensive coordinator Martin Bayless as well as a pair of longtime NFL pros in secondary coaches Darrell Green (cornerbacks) and Robert Griffith (safeties).
Correction: The game was previously listed to be at 6 p.m. PT.
