Pac-12 Primer: Trojans garner high noon time slot

Take a look at all the match ups around the Pac-12 conference, most notably the Trojans playing at the 12 PM slot for the second consecutive season.

In what seems nearly a mile away, the next slate of Pac-12 football games is vastly approaching, most notably the news that USC will be playing at 12 PM from the Coliseum for the second straight season. Here is a look, with some brief nuggets across the land, surrounding the entire Pac-12 slate with Oregon/Colorado/Utah as the teams sitting on top each with 2-0 records to this point in the season.

Boston College (2-0) at USC (1-1)

Sat., Sept. 14, 12 noon PT - P12N
USC: The Trojan defense held Washington State to seven yards rushing and now leads the nation in rushing defense allowing 15.0 ypg, as well as sacks with 11 (5.5 per game). The offense saw a breakout performance by sophomore TB Tre Madden who has posted back-to-back games with 100 or more rushing yards. He's the first Trojan since Marcus Allen in 1981 to open the season with consecutive 100-yard rushing games. Madden's grandfather is NFL All-Pro RB Lawrence McCutcheon who set the since-broken Los Angeles Rams career rushing record (6,186 yards).

NOTE: Boston College will be making just its sixth trip to the state of California this Saturday and only its second visit to Los Angeles. The truest connection for both Boston College and USC stands QB Chase Rettig (San Clemente) who is the only player from the opposing teams state from both teams.
