USC vs. Washington State 3rd Quarter Score: 7-7

Things did not improve for the Trojans in the beginning of the 2nd half. It's an ugly game. Help us all.

Well, 15 more minutes did not make the Trojans look much better.

Quarterback Max Wittek got the call to lead the offense, but he did not perform much better than Cody Kessler. Wittek completed... well, zero passes in his 15-minute stint. He chucked one deep that was picked off but was bailed out by a defensive pass interference call.  He had a couple of back passes to Marqise Lee, which counted as laterals.

Tre Madden continues to be the only skill player with his game going, passing the 100-yard mark on the game during the quarter.

The offense ran on 3rd-and-16 on the Cougars' 31-yard line to set up Andre Heidari's field goal attempt from 43 yards, which he missed. Heidari had one blocked in the previous quarter.

Not sure how this one will play out. The Trojans start the fourth with possession, but at this point, head coaches Mike Leach and Lane Kiffin are fighting really hard to lose this game first (well, not really. But neither team is playing well tonight).

Oh! They converted some third downs! That's something, right? Right?
