USA TODAY Sports

USC redshirt senior outside linebacker Devon Kennard has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shine Game, according to the Shrine Game. The East-West Shrine Game for is a showcase game for senior players. It will be held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. on January 18 at 1 p.m. PT.

Kennard bounced from defensive end to middle linebacker early in his USC career. He missed all of the 2012 season after tearing his pectoral muscle in offseason workouts but came back this year and produced a strong senior campaign.

After moving to outside linebacker where he was used primarily as a standup pass rusher, Kennard had 59 tackles and led the Trojans with nine sacks and ten quarterback hits. He was also tied with Leonard Williams with a team-high 13.5 tackles for loss.

Kennard will play his final game in a Trojan uniform next Saturday at 12:30 p.m. PT when USC takes on Fresno State in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl.
