The USC Trojans (9-3, 6-2) came out swinging from the very start on the defensive side of the ball and then put the Buffaloes (4-7, 1-7) away for good in the final minutes late thanks to a 52-yard touchdown run from all-around contributor Soma Vainuku.

Sophomore Javorius "Buck" Allen ran for a career-best 145 yards and three touchdowns as No. 23 Southern California beat Colorado 47-29 in 29-degree weather, tied for the second-coldest kickoff in the USC history.

Cody Kessler was 19 of 28 for 184 yards with two touchdowns while Allen averaged 6.9 yards on his 21 carries. The defense did not allow a single first half point and brought pressure from all places on the Buffaloes true-freshman quarterback.
