UPDATE: USC has announced that ESPN will be setting up GameDay in McCarthy Quad. It will be the first time GameDay has been held on campus, rather than in front of the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

ORIGINAL: People say that the West Coast is the 'best coast' and this Saturday, Nov. 16, it will become the early morning set of ESPN College GameDay as the show comes to Los Angeles for the tenth time to get fans hyped up for the USC/Stanford showdown at the Coliseum. The game has also been moved to 'primetime' and is set to be televised on ABC at 5 p.m PST.

After USC (7-3) dropped their first two Pac-12 conference games to Washington State and Arizona State and Stanford (8-1) lost to unranked Utah, most thought this game wouldn't have much significance, but with everything on the line now for both teams, this game is destined to be a battle.

The Trojans are currently sitting on a three-game winning streak and are riding some momentum after posting a 62-28 route of the Cal Golden Bears. The team is 4-1 since interim head coach Ed Orgeron took over for Lane Kiffin and still maintains a shot at winning the Pac-12 South with just three games to go. With Saturday's win, they also became bowl eligible.

While the Trojans seek to keep their Rose Bowl aspirations alive, Stanford hopes to continue their march at the national championship game. After defeating No. 3 Oregon at home, 26-20, the Cardinal hold their own fate in the Pac-12 North, which would result in a berth in the Pac-12 championship game for the second consecutive year.

USC boasts a 15-7 all-time record when GameDay attends the location of USC's game, although it has lost in its last four appearances. Also, when the show comes to the Coliseum, the Trojans are 6-3 all-time. Stanford is 4-3 all-time when appearing on the show.

The Trojan faithful are very excited to welcome the GameDay set back during USC's week 12 matchup.
