The Trojans close out October play by returning home to host Utah in a battle between teams each sporting 4-3 overall records and that both have just one Pac-12 victory to date.
The Utes have not beaten Troy in the Coliseum since 1916, including a loss in 2011 in the first-ever Pac-12 football game and both teams will be looking to bounce back from tough losses last week.
Its Parents Weekend on campus and the atmosphere around the Coliseum should be lively. The only problem is the health department has not really held up on either end, especially from the home squad.
The list of injuries is actually so long that we decided to call upon some friends at Reddit to update the roster, now that Marqise Lee has been officially ruled out and USC has less than 50 healthy scholarship players.
In its history, USC has had only 3 lettermen from Utah: RE Joe Davis (1940-42) of Bountiful, FB Stanley Havili (2006-10) of Salt Lake City and current OG John Martinez of Murray just so you know.
The Trojans will look to preserve their winning record against Utah's offense led by long-time offensive mind Dennis Erickson. They will heavily rely upon the play of talented sophomore QB Travis Wilson, who has said that he will play through the pain, looking to help his Utes pull off their second upset victory of the season (Stanford at home).
