Coming off an emotional and cathartic win over Arizona in Ed Orgeron's debut as interim head coach, the USC Trojans take to the road to face longtime rival Notre Dame. The road wasn't kind the last time the Trojans traveled out of California this season as Arizona State tied an opponent record with 62 points against USC and became the final piece that led to the firing of Lane Kiffin.
The Trojans will see a familiar face in running back Amir Carlisle, who suited up in the cardinal and gold as a freshman, but they will be more focused on quarterback Tommy Rees and his primary targets T.J. Jones and Troy Niklus.
USC hopes to have back Morgan Breslin (questionable - hip) and Anthony Brown (probable - knee) to add some defensive depth while the return of receivers Darreus Rodgers, De'Von Flournoy and potentially Marqise Lee will give Cody Kessler more weapons despite leading rusher Tre Madden being doubtful with a hamstring injury.
