Obviously not a pretty game tonight.

Once again we lose the Pac-12 opener...anyone think the stupid distraction over suspending Scott Wolf got in the way of the preparation. It certainly didn't help.

Barkley had a lot of issues in syncing up with his receivers tonight, but he wasn't getting much help in the protection department up front either. The defense for me the most par kept us in the game. but the long TD run and the screen pass for a TD burned us because of poor tackling. I can live with being aggressive but you make the tackles.

I know some don't want to hear this, but this is where depth becomes an issue. You have some young lineman on that O-line that are still learning the speed of the game. Holmes goes down and Hobbi has to step up. He didn't have a great night either.

I remember that ESPN thing with Barkley and Woods about Kiffin playing video games with the offense...maybe he is maybe he isn't but whatever he is doing just takes too long for the offense to get rolling as the season rolls on. it shouldn't be this way...this is the most explosive offense out there and we couldn't convert a 3rd down down tonight.

Not sure where this team goes from here.

When you combine Barkley being out of sync with Woods along with his bad decision making it really is a concern.

His Heisman hopes are pretty much gone...not that that is of major importance.

Even though the Cover-2 still burns us as we saw tonight, I can't really complain about the defense, they kept us in the game for most of the night but you see their effectiveness drop off in the 4th qtr. Guys were getting tired. Torrin Harris still plays soft.

I thought some of the penalties were iffy but we benefited from a few calls.

We have Cal next week. Hopefully we can bounce back...
