It's that time of year: preseason polls. Exciting, huh? Well, the USA Today preseason coaches poll was released this morning, and for the first time since 1987, the top two teams hail from the same conference. In that case, it's the SEC. Don't worry, USC is up there as well. The Trojans come in at No. 3 after not being ranked in the coaches poll for the last two seasons because of NCAA sanctions, specifically the postseason ban.
It's worth pointing out the votes were tallied and cast before news Tuesday that Penn State running back Silas Redd would be transferring to USC.
Anyway, without delay, here is the full poll with first-place votes in parentheses.
